Multidal Gravel and Grass Grid – 113.2 × 78.3 cm

Multidal is a heavy-duty ground stabilisation grid for driveways, car parks and paths. Fill it with gravel or grass. It keeps the surface firm and level under regular vehicle traffic, and rainwater still drains straight through into the ground. Its large panels click together without tools, so one person can lay a driveway quickly.

How many panels do I need?

Priced per panel. Each panel covers 0.89 m².
To work out how many you need, divide your area in m² by 0.89 and round up. For example, a 30 m² driveway needs 34 panels. Order a few extra if you'll be cutting half panels for edges and staggered rows.

Installation at a glance (gravel)

1. Dig down to firm, load-bearing ground.
2. Fit edging kerbs so they sit 2 cm above the panels.
3. For driveways, lay a compacted sub-base of at least 25 cm, such as crushed limestone or 0–32 mm crushed concrete.
4. Spread a levelling layer of fine gravel or screened sand: 5 cm for driveways, 15 cm for paths.
5. Click the panels together in a staggered pattern, starting every second row with a half panel.
6. Fill with gravel to 1–2 cm above the panels. Don't compact decorative gravel.

For grass, use a grass substrate instead of topsoil alone, sow, and wait 6–8 weeks before driving on it, or 16 weeks for heavy use.
